Plantuguese is the UK’s only 100% vegan Portuguese restaurant, located in the vibrant heart of Bristol. Celebrating authentic Portuguese flavours with entirely plant-based cuisine, Plantuguese brings beloved classics — from hearty mains to creative small plates — to both vegan and non- vegan diners alike. Inspired by founder Tiago’s Portuguese heritage and recipes passed down through generations, the brand combines sustainability, culture and exceptional food to create a warm, community-centric dining experience. Since its launch, it has quickly
become a local favourite, earning outstanding reviews and a loyal following.

  • Plantuguese approached Soulshine Digital with a strategic challenge: to
    build buzz and engagement across social media ahead of the restaurant’s grand opening, whilst also developing key brand assets.


    Our scope included:


    - Brand strategy & positioning – defining the brand’s core mission,
    values and story, and translating this clearly across digital and social platforms


    - Full social media takeover — shaping visual identity, content pillars and community engagement


    - Restaurant launch campaign — teasers, countdowns, and engagement-driven creatives


    -Website design — crafting a modern, user-friendly site to highlight the brand story, menus and booking functionality


    - Menu design — both for digital promotion and on-site presentation


    The goal was clear — drive awareness and community excitement in a
    saturated food scene with a fresh, stand-out proposition.

  • We worked under a very tight timeline, having formally onboarded on 28th October 2025, with the first teaser content scheduled to go live by 3rd November 2025.


    From day one, the strategy focused on:


    - High-impact teaser content that communicated the unique
    positioning — 100% vegan Portuguese cuisine — in aspirational, scroll-stopping formats.


    - Community engagement through interactive storytelling: polls, questions, and behind-the-scenes content to give followers ownership of the opening journey.


    - Consistent brand visuals across social feeds and website, reinforcing Plantuguese’s voice and aesthetic across platforms.


    By aligning creative direction with measurable milestones, we ensured
    every post worked towards broader business goals

  • The social launch delivered exceptional engagement and tangible
    growth right out of the gate. “First look at the Menu” post alone received
    over 47k views on Instagram and over 47k on Facebook, bringing in 337
    new Instagram followers which contributed to the 2.5k new followers in December 2025.


    Importantly, this translated into restaurant bookings and a super
    successful launch month for our clients:

    The newly launched website has received over 10,000 unique visitors
    (Nov’25 – Jan 26) and continues to drive restaurant bookings. These
    early results delivered both brand awareness and community growth,
    setting the stage for strong bookings and a successful launch footprint.
